Lest we forget

I just finished watching some of the Remembrance Day ceremonies at the coast on TV, and they really get to me. I see the veterans standing there, remembering their past, and can't even imagine what they have seen in their lifetime. Being at war and seeing so much death up close is unimaginable to me. The fear, the stress, the worry that they would have felt is horrible. Not to mention the families they left back at home. The stress and worry they felt about their loved ones who were fighting a war so far away.... just terrible.
Thank you, Uncle Jim. Thank you, Uncle Brian.
Thank you for fighting for our freedom that we enjoy today.
May we never take it for granted,
and may a war like that never happen again.

Well said. Thank you to those that served, and to those that are serving today.
God keep our land, glorious and FREE.
I talked to Uncle Jim today and he doesn't seem to want to talk about the was so we talked about all the kids and how they are doing and what they are doing. He said it was too damp for him to go out today so he would just watch from home. We have no idea how much our freedom cost our grandparents!
Imagine most of the 20 to 40 year olds going off to war today -- inconceivable! Thank God for our country.
